Android permissions list
Add permissions

Some features in PDFTron's Android SDK require certain Android permissions, the most prominent one being storage permission for accessing documents stored locally on the device. A summary of PDFTron's features and their required permission are shown below. If you need any of the specified features listed below, you will need to add the appropriate Android permissions.

  • Realtime collaboration

  • Creating sound annotations

Storage permission
Please note that from Android 6.0, (API 23) and up, applications need to request storage permission at runtime before accessing any files on device.

You can add permissions to your Android app by including the <uses-permission> tag for the specified permission in your AndroidManifest.xml file. You can learn more about Android permissions in the Android documentation.
