With another Fall school-term underway, PDFTron welcomes a fresh group of co-op students, marking the 11th year since PDFTron started hosting student work terms in 2007.

The three new computer science students, joining PDFTron from the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University, are a highly valued addition and will receive direct career mentorship as they develop a native mobile app (using Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android).

PDFTron team on the dock

At PDFTron, students get to work on the latest and greatest technologies. That includes features of our cross-platform PDF SDK and R&D on document understanding, leveraging cutting edge AI and machine techniques to recognize higher-level semantic structures (such as tables, graphs and charts).

Additionally, a work term at PDFTron not only orients students on in-demand skills; it sets them up for a potential long-term career trajectory. Students are treated as fellow developers and included on projects they are interested in as members of the PDFTron team. Five former co-op students are current PDFTron employees.

If you are a current student interested in a rewarding co-op opportunity with PDFTron, learn more about us (links below) and send an email to jobs@pdftron.com with your resume and the top three reasons why you would like to complete your work placement here.
