To mark the end to a month of wellness initiatives from the “plank challenge” to stretching sessions, on May 31st PDFTron hosted our most significant fundraising initiative yet this year as a way to show gratitude and give back to the community.
The PDFTron team pulled together and raised money for a local organization, the Vancouver Crisis Centre, which has a 50-year history of supporting the community through times of crisis, and of raising awareness about prevention techniques and resources for mental health and reducing stigma.
Funds were raised through a random-prize raffle draw. PDFTron team members contributed by buying tickets, each giving a chance to win health and wellness prizes donated by local organizations. All told, we successfully raised over $1,000, and PDFTron matched employee donations.
As a way of saying thanks, The Centre also stopped by our Vancouver office to host a workshop full of self-care and stress-management tips that will undoubtedly help the PDFTron team confidently tackle future challenges.
It is incredible what can happen when the community pulls together for a common cause! Thank you to Stacey and Tiffany of the Vancouver Crisis Centre, and to our generous donors who provided prizes for the raffle draw (in alphabetical order):
