Today we are very excited to introduce version 7.0.2 of PDFTron's Android PDF SDK. This release includes a new icon set, updated selection handle, navigation side sheet, new view mode and much more. This blog post will go through the major changes in 7.0.2. For the full list of changes, please head over to our changelog for PDFTron 7.0.2 for Android.

linkUpdated UI Elements

A brand new outline icon set has been added to replace the old filled icon set to follow the new Material Design icon trend. In addition, the annotation selection handle has been refreshed to give a more intuitive and beautiful look. An adjustable margin has been added between the annotation bounding box and the selection box so your users will have a full view of the annotation while resizing it.

linkNavigation Side Sheet

It is now possible to view the navigation list with annotations, user bookmarks and document outline in a side sheet when space allows. This allows your users to annotate while being able to quickly navigate through the document. When the collaboration viewer is in use, your users can now open the annotation reply view in the side sheet. This gives full context of the document while being able to add comments.
