Today we are very excited to introduce version 8.0.0 of PDFTron's Android PDF SDK . This release adds a new border effect for rectangle annotations, support for XLS files and much more. This release introduces a new option in the annotation style picker that lets your users create rectangle annotations with a cloud border effect. This is useful when commenting on drawings as it will be more visible and can be differentiated quickly thus making your users more efficient.

PDFTron's fully client-side Office-to-PDF conversion now comes with the ability to convert and view XLS files (without you or your users needing any MS Office software, MS Office licenses, or third-party open-source software). PDFTron SDK now supports all 6 of the main MS Office formats (doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls and xlsx).

It is now possible to create a signature widget and have another user sign in the collaboration environment. This makes it easy to create an efficient signing workflow for your users.
