Licensing Options

PDFTron offers several licensing and pricing options to accommodate various types of application and deployment scenarios in which customers can use PDFTron products. PDFTron's goal is to provide the most flexible and cost-effective licensing that suits specific customer requirements based on the relative value offered by PDFTron's software. Enterprise CPU License

An Enterprise CPU License allows deploying the licensed software on a single physical CPU that can be accessed by an unlimited number of users (processes) within your organization for business or personal use. PDFTron's multi-core licensing policy states that every 2 core processors on a multi-core machine are equivalent to 1 CPU from a licensing perspective. In addition, any remaining unpaired core processor(s) will also be deemed a CPU. Please refer to the Enterprise CPU License Agreement for more details on the license terms. Web Application CPU License

A Web Application CPU License allows deploying the licensed software on a single production web CPU (with no more than 2 CPU cores) as part of a single software application, program or web site accessible by (serving) an unlimited number of users outside your organization via a specific domain such as 'pdftron.com' or 'microsoft.com'. Enterprise Redistributable License

An Enterprise Redistributable License allows the use of PDFTron redistributable components to develop non-commercial, in-house (usually desktop) applications or projects for distribution to (or access by) employees within your company or organization. An Enterprise Redistributable License usually entails a larger number of installations. An Enterprise License Agreement is required specifying the licensed component(s), number/type of application(s), associated license fees, etc. Please fill out our online form to receive an Enterprise license quote.

OEM Redistributable License

An OEM Redistributable License allows the use of PDFTron redistributable component(s) to develop commercial applications or products for sale or distribution. In this case, a mutual license agreement is required specifying the scope of project, the licensed components, the associated license fees, etc. OEM license pricing usually equates to the benefit that PDF functionality brings to your product, while also adapted to suit your own licensing and pricing model. Developer License (Free)

A Developer License allows using the licensed software for internal development, integration, testing, maintenance and support of one or more programs on the developer's computer. It does not allow deploying the licensed software for production. Development licenses are included free with the purchase of the required production license(s).

PDFTron seeks to make our products accessible to all types of applications and end users. Volume Discounts

Volume discounts are available for multiple licenses of the same product, provided all licenses are part of a single order.
