Before you decide to make a purchase, you need to consider what type of license you require. To help determine your licensing requirements have a look at the following questions and pointers:

• If you are you interested in a desktop application, then you need a Desktop Application License.
• If you are interested in a library or server compontent, is it going to be used (a) internally or (b) distributed for sale?

  a) If the product is going to be used for developing an internal application, then you likely need a CPU License. Depending on the number of CPU licenses required, you may qualify for a custom license (e.g. if you need to deploy an internal application on a very large or unlimited number of CPU's within your company).

  b) If the product is to be sold as part of your application, then you need to consider OEM Licensing.

PDFTron General Licensing Schemes:

• Desktop Application License
  A Desktop Application License allows deployment of the licensed desktop software on a single desktop or notebook computer designed to be used by only one person (by one user process). It does not allow access by multiple user processes and does not include permission to use the licensed software for program development.
• Developer License (Free)
  A Developer License allows using the licensed software for development of one or more programs on the developer's computer. It does not allow deploying the licensed software for production.
• CPU License
  A CPU License allows deploying the licensed software on a single CPU that can be accessed by an unlimited number of users (processes).
• OEM License (Redistributable License)
  An OEM or Redistributable License allows the use of PDFTron redistributable components to develop commercial applications or products for sale or distribution. In this case, a mutual license agreement is required specifying the scope of project, the licensed components, the associated license fees, etc. To apply for an OEM License, please complete our online application.
• Custom License
  PDFTron seeks to make our products accessible to all types of applications and end users. If the available licenses do not fit your purpose or the scope of your project, we will consider creating a custom-tailored license to match your requirements while keeping the licensing costs down. • Source Code License
  Please contact sales@pdftron.com for source code licensing inquiries.

Volume Licensing

Volume discounts are available for multiple licenses of the same product, provided all licenses are part of a single order.
